The United Application Developers Alliance (TheUADA)

TheUADA is a select group of Facebook developers whose combined market power currently includes over one hundred Facebook applications with millions of unique users and billions of monthly page views.

By joining TheUADA, Facebook developers will increase their advertising revenue, discover new sponsorship opportunities and achieve a series of significant liquidity events — all while maintaining their status as completely independent companies.

The historical precedent for TheUADA is the Creative Artists Agency (CAA) which was formed in 1975. Over the past 33 years, this talent agency has worked to increase the level of compensation and equity participation available for their vast array of top actors, musicians, writers, directors and athletes. Likewise, TheUADA represents the top Facebook developers and their app’s ad real estate with the goal of optimizing each alliance member’s operating income. However, unlike the CAA, the members of TheUADA will also enjoy an ownership stake in the agency representing them.

Membership in TheUADA is private by design. TheUADA is currently evaluating a group of top Facebook application developers who we expect to be the founding members of the alliance. Their suite of 100+ applications currently has 80+ million installs, 40+ million unique users and 3+ million daily active users. Top application developers who choose to join and who are admitted will receive access to the services described below as well as the opportunity to own significant equity in TheUADA LLC. For reasons explained below, co-ownership in TheUADA makes it much more than a mere affiliation of application owners based solely on marketing agreements.

Benefits of Membership in TheUADA

In addition to an equity stake, TheUADA makes available to its members a suite of services that most individual Facebook app developer companies are too busy or too small to perform well on their own.

These services include:

  • optimizing the management of each member app’s available ad real estate
  • cross-promoting the installation of alliance members’ apps
  • negotiating for higher CPC, CPM, CPI, and CPA rates from advertisers
  • creating lucrative app sponsorship deals for alliance members
  • brokering app sales to major brands and Web 1.0 companies at attractive valuations
  • encouraging cross-application support of micro-payment and virtual currency systems
  • developing new ad formats, transaction vehicles and app monetization models
  • promoting the Social Suite of Category Killer Apps for Facebook

By providing these services, TheUADA will consolidate the market power that is inherent in a group of developers who collectively own apps with 400+ million installs, 50+ million unique users and 15+ million daily active users. Not all of these prospective members will be selected as founding members of TheUADA.
